The text form of The Convention of Rights of a Child does not grab the readers attention as opposed to the picture version. The pictures are a use of pathos which appeal to the readers emotions. The pictures give a visual as to what is really happening to children in some areas of the world. The visual actually makes people what to help the children in the picture. The text form is just a bunch of words on a page that does not make a person what to help the cause because it does not appeal to their emotions. The text form is more official than the visual but people would rather see pictures than a thousand words the page. People respond better to being shown something than being told something. In the picture version of The Convention of Rights of a Child the pictures shown was the opposite of what was stated in the text. That appeals more to the reader than a picture that shows the same thing as being stated. It shows proof that these things are actually happening around the world.
In the photo representing Article 27, is the opposite of what rights the child has. According to the article, "a child has the right to a standard of living. The standard of living in this photo are not what they should be for a child. It appears that the entire area of living in these poor conditions when they have the right to something better. That area may the an poor area and they can not afford to live in the conditions they deserve. They took the time to put together these "homes", so that the children would at least have a roof over their heads. Seeing that their are children out there living in standard less than they have a right to makes a people want to do something about it and help them.
